Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports training at the age of fourteen. Aspen Ladd started training in BJJ, kickboxing boxing, and wrestling prior to her first appearance as an amateur at WCFC when she was 18. Ladd was on a stunning 3-fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat. In the three fights, she defeated her opponent within the first round. Ladd returned to WCFC and beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen won against Silvia Babaeghian, Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia defeated Aspen with a majority vote. It left a blemish on her record as an amateur. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n' Uff and improved her amateur record to 8-1. Aspen began her career in 2015, signing to Invicta FC for her professional debut. She faced Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, and defeated her, securing a first-round TKO. Invicta defeated her at bantamweight and prevailed via armbar submission during the second round. Aspen used her wrestling expertise to knock down McGill with a TKO during the third-round (elbows & punches). Aspen next faced Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) at the weight of a "catchweight"(138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd did not make the weight. Aspen, however, defeated Hoy through TKO. Invicta FC 28 was her final fight for the company. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks beaten by a unanimous verdict. Aspen Ladd's UFC debut came in UFC Fight Night 118 when she faced Lina Lansberg. She was a step ahead of Lina, and ground-and - pounded her for the TKO victory in the second round. When she next faced Tonya Evinger at UFC 229, her victory was even more impressive. Ladd took on Evinger to the punch in the initial round, and was awarded the Bonus Performance of the Night. Her first fight of note came during her subsequent fight in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. Ladd won the fight of the night bonus, after both fighters had an intense combat. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd within just 16 seconds, ending her winning streak. Then she bounced back and defeated Yana Kunitskaya during the third round of UFC in ESPN 7. In a match that was a replacement for UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. The fight was a unanimous decision.
