Allison Pregler Bio

Allison Pregler is a reviewer who reviews Z-grade films generally in the martial arts or horror genre, which is roughly comparable that of The Cinema Snob but tending towards action-oriented dumb films and a morbid enjoyment of them. Her first review was in late 2009 after becoming well-known on their forums. (Under the name of her previous handle Obscurus Lupa), she was invited to join Channel Awesome. Channel Awesome team. The channel remained participant on the website through January of 2015, when Obscurus Lupa Presents transformed into Movie Nights. There are two podcasts she hosts on the channel. Both are based on the Charmed series, and are hosted by Phelous. After a controversial departure from Channel Awesome Allison officially announced on January 20th 2015 that she'd be revamping OLP into an impromptu review show called Movie Nights with an appropriately-shlocky elevator jazz theme. She reviews horrible films aimed at children, or RiffTrax shows as well as occasionally, she reviews adult comedy (including Baywatch (2017)). The reviewer began her journey in the latter half of 2009, and was soon gaining fame on channels like the Channel Awesome forums before officially becoming a member of the group of reviewers on Channel Awesome. She's been featured in numerous Channel Awesome series, from Atop the Fourth Wall through Phelous & the Movies. She appeared on many episodes on Nostalgia Critic and was a past member of Channel Awesome's family along with Doug Walker.
